Covid Policy - August 2020
In order to practise safely during the current COVID-19 pandemic the following precautions will be taken whilst consulting.
Clients will be asked to attend their appointment at exactly the arranged time as the waiting room cannot accommodate more than one person.
On arrival we will take your temperature with a forehead scan thermometer.
We ask that you wear a mask to your appointment. During your consultation the clinician will remain at least 1 metre away from the you to observe current social distancing rules, apart from when needing to take a blood pressure reading when a clinical mask and gloves will be worn. The clinician will wear a visor throughout the consultation.
During your consultation, if you feel it is appropriate, you may remove your face mask whilst remaining 1 metre away from the clinician.
Sufficient time between clients will be allowed to clean surfaces and equipment with anti bacterial wipes.
There are hand washing facilities in the building and in the consulting room and sanitiser will be provided to use as necessary.
SMC encourages payment by BACS at the time of the appointment. We would prefer not to handle cash at the moment.
As part of the appointment booking service your contact details will be stored and you will be contacted text message or email if we receive notification of a positive COVID-19 swab in a client who has attended the clinic before you on the same day.
